Tip for parents: Involve your child in activities inside and outside school.
Tip for students: Try to make friends with others, and make lots of friends outside school. Find things you can do with them.
Tip for teachers: Involve class in service projects—creates unity.

Tip for teachers: Focus on third enemy (water pollution, animal cruelty, etc.)—creates unity.

Tip for students: Stand up for other students who are bullied, and ask them to stand up for you.
Tip for parents: Ask grandparents to maintain strong ties and communicate frequently with your child.

Tip for teachers: Investigate all rumors and unverified reports of bullying.
Tip for students: Being bullied can make you tired and make you feel sick. To deal with the bully you need to feel good. So, be sure to get plenty of exercise and eat healthy foods. Also, make sure you get plenty of sleep.

When in doubt, look anywhere for a leaning post. Use celebrities, leaders, and important figures in your life as examples; they made it through this, so can you. For example, Nicki Minaj states: "I went through a lot of bullying early on. Girls made my life a living hell. We had come to America from a different country. My brother and I had accents. It was very tough."

Negative thoughts and negative emotions need your attention and focus to stay alive. They cannot survive without your attention to them. If you ignore them and refuse to give them any attention, you are taking the life out of them and they will be eliminated.

A new study released at the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) National Conference and Exhibition shows that cyberbullying is rarely the only reason teens commit suicide. Most suicide cases also involve real-world bullying as well as depression. The study showed that 78 percent of adolescents who committed suicide were bullied online and offline. Only 17 percent were only bullied online. The stud...y of 41 suicide cases from the U.S., Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia also showed 13 of the teens suffered from mood disorders and found depression symptoms in another six. Ages of the suicide cases studied ranged from 13 to 18.
Cyberbullying can include Facebook taunts, cruel text messages or the posting of embarrassing YouTube videos. The study author Dr. John C. LeBlanc said in a press release that "certain social media, by virtue of allowing anonymity, may encourage cyberbullying.

T-Shirts... For Real This Time!

It's official! We are definitely selling T-shirts now!

They're $20 each plus $5 for shipping and handling. Although the shipping increases the price of the shirts, the process is much more convenient with www.booster.com! All you have to do is click on the link below, select your size(s), enter your billing and shipping information, and voila! You have a shirt coming your way.

The LAST DAY to order the shirts is NOVEMBER 29th!

Everyone will be receiving their shirts approximately two weeks after that (December 13th- just in time for Christmas!) If you're not fond of having to pay $25 for a T-shirt, talk to friends, family, coworkers, or anyone, and do a group order together. No matter how many T-shirts you purchase together, as long as they're sent to the same address, shipping is still $5!!!

All the proceeds for the T-shirt will benefit www.thetrevorproject.org ...I'm really hoping you all like my design and that we reach our goal of 50 shirts (or at the very least, 20 shirts because Booster won't print them unless there's at least 20 purchased). We're finishing up day two of the T-shirt selling and have sold 3 so far!
